Miracle Blanket - Baby Swaddling Blanket - Pink Miracle Blanket - Baby Swaddling Blanket - Pink

Reviews

This swaddle was a gift and worked the best by far -- better than the receiving blankets that my daughter quickly outgrew and WAY better than the velcro-tabbed swaddles (which are loud in the middle of the night when you try to tuck that wiggle worm's arm back into it). I bought a 2nd one so that we always had one clean! This swaddle along with the "Happiest Baby on the Block" DVD is gift I will give other parents-to-be -- both were fantastic! (and my husband agrees)

I LOVE this blanket. I didn't have it for my first child but wish I did. Once I started using this on my daughter, like everyone says, she was sleeping 9-12 hour stretches at about 3-4 weeks old. We went on vacation when she was about 4 months old. I had to throw it in the washer the morning we were leaving and forgot to get it out of the dryer. Biggest regret of the vacation - hence, get two! Also, like everyone else, I am bummed it doesn't come in a larger size, but I suppose that is physiological and not the manufacturer's fault!

I bought this blanket in 2005 for my son (in blue of course). It worked like a charm for him. He used it until he was 5 months old. I just didn't use the foot part once he got too long for it. I bought it again fir my now 5 week old daughter. She will cry and cry until I wrap her in this blanket. Once I wrap her, she immediately calms down. I bought two more since she never wants to be out of it.

This is the one baby item I couldn't live without! I started using this with my baby when she was 2 1/2 mo. old and she immediately started sleeping 9-12 hours a night and has continued to do so. My first child NEVER did that and I used traditional swaddling blankets with him. It seems confining to adults but babies love it. She is 5 mo. old now and in the 90th percentile for height and weight and can still fit into it well. I dread the day when she outgrows it! I've been recommending it to all of my pregnant friends.

This swaddling blanket was truly a miracle for us! I only regret that I did not try it until she was 6 weeks old. With this blanket, my daughter would sleep for 8-10 hour stretches - it was wonderful! We tried swaddling with regular receiving blankets, but she would always get out of those. Swaddling in this blanket made her calm and relaxed and helped us all to get some much-needed sleep. I recommend this to every mom I know!

I SO wanted to give this 5 stars and say "It truly is a miracle...my baby slept through the night!" Darn! My little guy has never liked to have his arms swaddled so I should have known better than to buy it. I think if I had gotten it earlier like when he was a newborn it may have worked which is why I am still giving it 3 stars, but he was 2 months old when I got it and maybe already set on his sleeping preferences? He didn't like being wrapped in it, but allowed me to do it anyway and he did fall asleep. I checked on him 1/2 hour later and he had both legs out. Checked on him an hour later and he had both arms out! How I will never know, this thing is like a strait jacket! So unfortunately he didn't sleep any longer than normal...4 hours on the dot like always. One last thing, I think $19.99 is more reasonable than $29.99...it is only fabric!

We used this blanket when my son was born just over 3 years ago. He loved it and was sleeping through the night at 6 weeks. We ended up ordering a second to have when he would wet through his diaper and onto the blanket. We could not be without it! I do wish they made a larger size one for when they grow out of it. When he was too long for his feet to fit in the pocket, we would still wrap it around him with his legs out and zip him up in a sleep sack. We finally had to let it go at 5 months when he was finally breaking out of it all. I came to Amazon to order two more for my twins coming soon, hope they like to be swaddled as much as he did!

My 12 week old got out of every other swaddle and woke up between 5 and 7 times every night. The first night we used this blanket he woke only twice!!! I'm here buying my 2nd today (can't risk a diaper leak without a backup). It is already helping him nap longer too.

I absolutely LOVE the Miracle Blanket. I have a fussy 2 month old who weighs almost 16 pounds. He is able to break free from every blanket we own. However, with the Miracle Blanket he stays nice and snug! Once we started wrapping him in his Miracle Blanket he started sleeping at night from every 2 hours to every 4 hours IMMEDIATELY. He is now sleeping from 4 1/2 to 6 hours through the night! I wish I would have had this blanket when my son was first born. I recommend this blanket to every parent of a newborn/infant!

I have NEVER reviewed a product before in my entire life, but I feel so passionately about this product that I could not not review it. My son was born six weeks premature and we were having a HORRIBLE time getting him to sleep once we came home from the NICU. We had tried swaddling before but he seemed to HATE it so we had given up. Finally after one particularly long night I mentioned this blanket that my friends had recommended to my husband. He said at this point we would try anything so I ordered the Miracle Blanket right away. This blanket has CHANGED OUR LIVES! My son went from sleeping in 45 minute to hour and a half stretches to now sleeping for one five hour stretch, getting up feeding, sleeping for a four and a half hour stretch, feeding and then going back to bed for another hour and a half or so. This all happened in the span of 3 weeks! I truly was skeptical because we had tried everything, but I promise this actually works. We used to have to do the crib dance where we would get him to sleep in our arms, lay him down in his crib, and have him wake up almost immediately screaming. Now we lay him in his bed and he STAYS ASLEEP. for all those sleep deprived moms out there....you know that this is the true miracle. On a side note, he is also colicky so whenever he gets in one of his fits and can not calm himself down I wrap him in the blanket and rock him and he is able to get a hold of himself. I can not say enough good things about this blanket. It has truly allowed me to keep my sanity through this all!

Classical Baby 3-Pack - Music, Art & Dance Classical Baby 3-Pack - Music, Art & Dance

Reviews

Love the Classical Baby series! Originally caught them on HBO when my daughter was 6 months old. Loved watching it so much that we ended up ordering them. Ordered again this time - as a gift for a friend's daughter. Classical pieces of music and art! Very enjoyable for the WHOLE family!

Any person or family with a small child or children should have this set of DVDs. My two grandchildren love it and look forward to rest or bed time because we watch and listen to these brilliant, informing, soothing and entertaining works of art. My grandson was a three year old little boy that could hardly sit still for a minute when the Classical Baby Music came on HBO. He was playing and stopped in his tracks when he heard the music and turned around and stood watching it as though he was immobile. My 1 1/2 year old granddaughter did the same. They loved it and would ask to see it over and over. I went online and googled it, it showed up on Amazon.com and I ordered the set. It is now one of my favorite new baby gifts! My deepest appreciation for the creators of this wonderful product!

I got this DVD set as a baby shower gift before my son was born. It is a wonderful set of dvd's that I used from infant age until about 3 years old. My little boy loved to watch it and it is easy to watch as an adult too. When my brother was expecting in September of last year I could not wait to give them the dvd set for Christmas. It helps to calm a baby and relieve a tired parent. Recommend it 100% to everyone.

I ordered this as a gift for a busy mom. Now she is a lot busier because she will get to repackage the original and mail it back to Amazon. I guess I cannot complain that this "3-disc" set doesn't contain three discs. It does. But two of them are duplicates and the "dance" disc is missing altogether. Amazon has no convenient way to order a single replacement component.

This collection is wonderful! I saw it for the first time at a friend's house and I decided that whenever I had a baby this would be his/her first DVD collection. I'm a musician and I really appreciate the fact that it uses the sounds of the real instruments, as opposed to the synthesized sounds that are used in almost every other baby music DVD. Anybody interested in their babies experiencing music the way composers intended it should get these DVDs! The visuals are beautiful and creative, and the exposure to painting and dancing, classic and contemporary, is fantastic. It's alright that my 5 months son prefers some chapters to others, it helps me learn about his personality and temperament. Recommend it 100%.

How to Grow a Family Band Gift Set ( with Bonus CD and Music Booklet) How to Grow a Family Band Gift Set ( with Bonus CD and Music Booklet)

Reviews

This is family music not just kids music. We all enjoy listening to, singing along with, and dancing to this music. We play it while making dinner in the evenings, and it helps lift the mood and keep people happy while waiting.

When I bought this set I seriously doubted that we would ever become a family band, but the children, aged 2,3 & 8 loved the songs so much that they were soon begging for the cobwebs to be dusted off my guitar and making shakers and other instruments for themselves.Dan Zanes says that your voices are enough to start your band and I had not realized how much pleasure performing together in the lounge for just ourselves would be. The songs are quirky and appeal to kids and adults alike and we take the whole set on long journeys, which now constitutes band practice! We could not recommend this more highly to a family of any age. Just urge yourself and any other adults to get over the shyness and worries about lack of talent because your kids won't care. They will be having too much fun.

Seeing and hearing Dan Zanes on Disney Channel with my son, I decided to buy the collection of CDs for my son's second birthday. Oliver loves this music so much that we listen to "Dan Zanes! Dan Zanes!" each afternoon and evening per his request. The variety of music contained on each of the CDs (and across the five CDs in the set) is not only wonderfully entertaining for Oliver, but is a pleasure to listen to as an adult. Full of many classic childrens songs, folk music from America and the West Indies, and a number of great collaborations with artists such as Aimee Mann, Susanne Vega, Lou Reed, and Father Goose, this collection is ALL GOOD. In an age where it seems as though every CD I buy for myself has a "b-side" full of mediocre tracks, these CDs are great start to finish. Not only have they made car trips - short or long - enjoyable, the songs on these CDs will have you and your child dancing "all around the kitchen" (and the rest of the house too)!

This collection of music is priceless! Whether you have no clue as to whom Dan Zanes and friends are or have listened to him during his Del Fuegos days...this is as close to a complete family collection as you'll get. My son had one of the cd's and his dvd before we saw them in concert in June ('07), so for his birthday we got this set. It's amazing! I highly recommend it!

This is great music no matter how you look at it. The kids will bop along, the parents will be happy it's real songs and not more Disney/Nickelodeon crap, and the grandparents won't be disturbed by it when they have to play it over and over for the little ones.

150 Cartoon Classics 150 Cartoon Classics

Do not buy this DVD set, as most of the cartoons are in Black & White, because they are probably very very old. The sound and video quality is atrocious and one of the DVDs did not even work properly. My kids did not like it at all.

I got this for a christmas present for my dad. My family and I love putting on this dvd on relaxing days. On time, and in perfect condition.

I have this DVD and it is a great addition to our collection. My 4 year old daughter prefers them to anything else. I loved them as a child and now I find myself glued to the TV when I have them on for my daughter.

Some of the films are watermarked with an ugly logo (imo a sacrilege). Also all films have been chopped and cropped to fit the standard 4:3 letterbox-TV. I find the selection of films a little strange. Wasn't this supposed to be classics? Of course Betty Boop and Popye can be called classics, but there's some obscure stuff in there, including clay animations(!). Early clay animations may of course be of interest to many, but it was certainly not something I expected, and I don't think you can call the clay animations *cartoon* classics.

I purchased this tape for the little kids next door and it was fun listening to them giggle and watching them dance.

Shirley Temple Gift Set (Heidi, Curly Top, Baby Take a Bow) [VHS] Shirley Temple Gift Set (Heidi, Curly Top, Baby Take a Bow) [VHS]

I ordered this supposedly rare color set thinking 23 dollars was a good price for fond memories....what I got was a 1960s-70 VHS quality colorized copies...yes the tapes are still faded and the color unnatural in spots...Hollywood can do anything digially these days but whomever is distributing and making money on this evidently does not care. Amazon please include a note specifing what one is getting on your site ..a disclaimer at least..you are too good a company for this kind of business selling tapes one can record over the airwaves!!!!Also they are coming out with DVDS in May I hope they are better...

I own all of Shirley's movies her best and her worst- if you are looking into buying a Shirley collection than this is the one to buy! Although, I'll say I'm disappointed that it dosn't include "Poor Little Rich Girl" or Shirley's most classic-"Bright Eyes"(On the good ship lollipop). But, this has some of Shirley at her best. Heidi- although an film made when Shirley was older. It shows off Shirley's acting talent as Heidi especially in the scene with her grandfather. It is the best film that Shirley made after the baby-doll era. And you'll be close to tears in the scene when Heidi is threatened to be taken away from her grandfather. You'll also love Heidi's grandfather who does a wonderful job in his role- I wish he was my gramps. Baby Take A Bow- Is simply wonderful in this film where she showcases some of her cutest dance moves and her on screen chemistry with her dad- James Dunn my favorite of her on screen dads. You'll fall in love with Shirley as this little baby doll. Curly Top- Shirley is so cute in this film as an orphan it features her classic "Animal Crackers In My Soup" Also chemistry with her other on-screen dad. Also features alot of Shirley's musical talents. All in all this is a good Shirley collection to start with-- if you have little girls or grand- daughters this a collection they will love- sit back and enjoy some good clean fun with them.

This is a wonderful product! I recieved it as a birthday present from my parents and I loved it! It contains "Baby Take a Bow"-about a little girl who finds a stolen string of pearls and keeps them in her home for a nosy detective to find. Her father is accused of the crime. "Curly Top" is about a lonely man who adopts an adorable little youngster along with her grown-up sister, whom he falls in love with. "Heidi"...well you all know Heidi! The little orphan girl living with her grandfather who struggles to live a private life without people trying to take her away from him. All three films have been fully restored in colour with excellent sound quality...they almost match the standards of films from the early nineties. They all feature the darling Shirley Temple and come in a pretty red and gold box with cute pictures on it...totally worth it!!

i have seen all but 1 of her movies and well they were all goodi would like to learn a lot more about her! i'm 11 so take this from an 11 year old!(-:

These tapes brought back many many happy memories. Something I bought to share with my grandchildren, who otherwise would not have had the pleasure of knowing Shirley Temple.

Your Baby Can Read! 5-Video Set for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers [VHS] Your Baby Can Read! 5-Video Set for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers [VHS]

I think this is a very good way to get children to read, but I think you rally need to start them at about 6 months of age. I got these when my daughter was 1 and a half and they just aren't very interesting to her, even with all the songs and such, but she is a very active child, she wont sit still for very many shows. It has however, taught her to read 4 words and she's only two and a half now, so I'm satisfied. I'm sure it would have work much better if I started her earlier (before she could run away from it!)

My 4.5 month old got these when he was 3 months. He will not look at the screen for very long when I play these videos. After about 5 minutes he is bored. The entire premise is based on your child Looking at the words. There is not any background music or bright colors, as there is in the Baby Einstein videos. My son can't get enough of those. I'll keep trying periodically, though. Maybe when he's older he will pay attention to the screen.

Very Impressed!!! My son started watching the videos a little later than the other reviews mentioned, but it didn't make a difference with us. My son saw Baby Einstein when he was 8 months old and was very bored with them. I was very skeptical to try another video, but my husband insisted we try them. My son was 18 months old when we first tried Dr. Titzer's videos. He loves them. He can reed about 75 words and is only 21 months old. It only increased his love for books. I am amazed.

I was an early reader (I learned off of shows like the Electric Company when I was three) and it gave me an enormous advantage in school. I wanted to provide the same head start to my daughter, so we started her on books, flash cards, educational videos, and alphabet-oriented toys early. She learned her letters at around 12-13 months, was very verbal, and loved being read to from the beginning, so I thought we might be able to get her reading quickly. I first tried Glenn Doman's approach in "How to Teach Your Baby to Read" - make gigantic flash cards of a few common words and show them to baby several times a day. She eventually learned those 15 words, but it took months and she kind of got bored with it. I did, however, take to heart Doman's assertion that reading, like speaking, is actually easier to teach to a very young child than to an older child. Around the time of her second birthday, we got Dr. Titzer's videos. They were an immediate hit. Unlike some learn-to-read materials, they are geared to a toddler. The images and sounds are gentle, with lots of animals doing interesting things. Within a few months, she could read most of the words on the video, and recognize them in other contexts, such as when we encountered them in books. I was skeptical of inclusion of words like "chimpanzee" but now I understand the reason. Dr. Titzer explains on the video that very young children cannot simply be taught phonics components of words and then be expected to put them together to read. Rather, first they learn lots of words, and gradually they understand the phonics patterns and can sound out unfamiliar words. Thus it is important to expose them to lots of different words - short, long, with different vowel and consonant patterns. I knew we were on to something when I noticed her trying to puzzle out things in her books based on these patterns - for instance, when she saw the word "dinosaur" and thought it was "delicious." As she got more proficient, she made fewer of these mistakes. She'll be three in a couple of weeks, and while she's not quite fluent, she's definitely a reader, considerably above the "Cat in the Hat" level. It's absolutely amazing to see her choose her own picture books in the library, bring them home, and read them by herself. She still prefers when we read them to her, and we do, but we also encourage her to sound out new words as we read to her, which she greatly enjoys doing. She still loves the videos, but we strictly limit TV time so she doesn't watch them very often. These weren't the only tools we used (a set of Jane Belk Moncure's "Word Bird" books obtained on eBay was also vital), but they were extremely effective.

My twin boys started watching these videos when they were 14 months old. They are now 21 months old. They love them. Whenever they are fussy or fighting I put in one of these videos and they become quiet and then involved in the videos. They have learned so many words! Their vocabulary seems so much larger than their peers. They still love the Baby Einstein videos, but these promote active involvement. I just wish that they were on DVD when I purchased them!

It goes without saying that this show is incredible. I was very pleased with the condition I recieved it in.

In being an avid fan of the Ross and Rachel characters, I love how Season 2 finally brings them together. In my opinion, they're one of the most indelible TV couples ever. In addition to them, this season really brought out even more of the unique humour that made "Friends" such an amazing show. The cast had the kind of chemistry that cannot be forced or "directed." They just...clicked. And on a side note, this season truly emphasized how talented Jennifer Aniaton is as both a comedic and dramatic actress. It also proved, irrefutably, how incredibly beautiful she is. She should have won an Emmy for this go around. Not only that, her hair was so lovely in this season:) All in all, an amazing show!

friend - the complete second season, the movie is very nice, but when I recived the box, one of disc was missing, disc number 03, and

This is fun to see the cast go through the tech revolution. In season one they have upgraded from the collapsible-antenna cordless phone to something a shade more modern. Their clothing is still really 90's and they haven't developed the chemistry yet, though. It is fun to see the episodes that lay the ground work for a lot of the story lines down the road. Worth buying if you're a Friends fan.

Excellent service! And the item was in the conditions he advertised
